22K gold contains 91.67% pure gold (22 parts out of 24) and is priced today at approximately live EGP per gram. It is computed live from the 24K reference price multiplied by 22/24 and updates every second alongside the international ounce and the USD/EGP rate.
22K is less common in Egypt than 21K (the local jewelry standard) but shows up in three places: thick Gulf-style and Indian-style bracelets and necklaces; branded Emirati and Saudi jewelers operating in Cairo malls (City Stars, Mall of Egypt); and specialist Khan El-Khalili dealers who supply Gulf tourists. Because volume is thinner than 21K, dealer spreads on 22K resale can run 2–4% wider than on 21K.

The purity is higher than 21K, but resale liquidity in Egypt is lower than 21K or investment-grade 24K bars. For pure savings, 24K bars or the Egyptian Gold Pound (8g × 21K) are more liquid.
