Tamer Elgamil, who edits this site, is related to the shop.
How the shop and this site are kept apart
The shop sells gold, so it has an interest in what people buy and when. These are the rules that keep that interest out of what we publish:
- The prices here are read from public Egyptian retail price feeds and recorded by our own system. They are not the shop's counter prices, and the shop does not set or change them.
- The buy-back figure is a reference, the sell price less 100 EGP a gram. It is not an offer from the shop or from anyone else.

- Anything the shop offers is on this page, under its own name.
